The director is like the leader in the production of the film. They guide the team in the direction the director wants to take the film. The director controls the film dramatic and artistic element of the film while visualising the screenplay. They guide the technical crew and actors to fulfill that vision.
The director has the key role in production design, casting and creative aspects in the films production.They give the direction to the cast and crew and creates their overall vision through which a film eventually becomes realised, or noticed. Directors use different approaches. Some outline the general plot and let their actors improvise some dialogue. Others will control every aspect and make sure the cast and crew follow instructions precisely.
Numerous directors write their own screen play for their film, others will collaborate with a writer to create a screenplay, normally with people they have long standing relationships with.
